Epson honoured the warranty and replaced with a refurbished unit. After almost exactly one year (barely in warranty) a 1″ wide black band appeared on side 2 of all 2-sided scans on the far left side. There is a design or manufacturing quality issue. There are 2 reasons I’m dropping that to 3 stars, essentially one star for each of the two reasons, both of which I consider major issues:1.
